Destination Door County Takes Home Wisconsin Tourism Trailblazer Award at State Tourism Conference

November 10, 2023 – Destination Door County (DDC) was presented with a Wisconsin Tourism Trailblazer Award by Wisconsin Secretary of Tourism Anne Sayers at the Destinations Wisconsin annual fall tourism conference on November 10, 2023.

DDC was awarded a 2023 Wisconsin Tourism Trailblazer award in the “Outstanding Marketing Campaign under $25,000” category for their Art in the Door contest. The contest asked local artists to create 2D artwork highlighting the beauty and feeling Door County evokes. The four winners of the contest had their art used in national marketing campaigns for Door County.

Each year Destinations Wisconsin gives out Wisconsin Tourism Trailblazer Awards to destination marketing organizations for outstanding marketing and partnership projects that help to advance Wisconsin’s tourism industry. 2023 awards were given out in 3 different categories.

Destinations Wisconsin is a statewide, membership-based industry advocacy, education and marketing organization for Wisconsin destination marketing and management organizations.
